Vacation Part 2

Alexa and I were so excited about the next day's events, we woke up a little earlier than normal.
We went to the Texas State Aquarium to see all the fish.
The first ones we saw were the dolphins.  I tried to touch them through the glass.

Then, after waiting for a looong time, they did some tricks for us.

I was about ready to get in on the action, so splashing in the stingray touch tank was just right.
One of them came close enough for me to touch.  It surprised me how slimy it was.

Alexa tried to scowl like this grouper.

The nice thing about aquariums is that the animals are always moving.
We didn't have to walk past bunches of cages of sleeping animals.

After lunch, Mommy and Daddy decided to show me that there was a splash pad.
Mommy took me through a water tunnel,
all the while saying something about being happy to not be pregnant anymore.

It was good to see my Great Grandpa again, and to introduce him to my baby sister.

Vacation

Jenny here again.
My family took a fun vacation this weekend.
Daddy and Mommy tried to say it was for their anniversary, but I know that it was really for me.
On the way to Great Grandpa's house we stopped at Whataburger
to get the "hama" I earned in the library book club.

The next morning we went to the beach to go swimming!
I was excited from the moment I put my swimsuit on.

Daddy took me out for a dip in the ocean while Mommy took pictures.

Baby Alexa guarded our stuff.

When she woke up, Alexa touched the ocean for the first time. She tasted it too :)
She looks like Aunt Stacie on her first trip to the beach.

We went straight from the beach to the docks, where I got to watch the boats while Alexa ate her lunch.

We watched some men working on the Pinta.

to be continued...

Just in case you were wondering, I am thoroughly enjoying life with our two little girls.  With less sleep and more tears, I am treasuring the moments in between even more.

Jenny's vocabulary is rapidly expanding.  She says over 100 words that take varying amounts of interpreting.  Here's one that is a mouthful:

She loves to read books and play with the babies.  She copies everything Mommy does with the babies, including nursing hers on her belly button. :)  Her babies have cloth diapers and go for a walk outside in their stroller (very popular activity).
I love watching her Daddy read books to her every night.
Treasured moment from yesterday: saying "black" (for the seeds) with her mouth full of watermelon.

Alexa is filling her days with important things like sleep time
...and wake time.  Some good quality wake time occurs between 10-12pm.

Swinging is fun too.

Jenny loves, loves, loves her baby sister.
She tries to be very helpful and loves to hold her in the "bobby" pillow.

Putting in the paci, and sharing her toys.
My happy girl!
She has started to coo a little bit and smiles all the time.

Alexa is getting along great with her cousins, bigger and smaller.
